Steel WÜleur Kev McGillicuddy introduced me to the Square Roots one evening by literally introducing me to the Square Roots as his older brother was the lead guitarist - Dave McGillicuddy. This song always had a Halloween feel to me and if my memory is correct, I believe that they were tasked with producing a song for a party or a birthday or something and the lead singer Billy out of desperation decided to just mumble some lyrics. He obviously nailed it. Enjoy this mini slice of Santa Cruz history.

In 1989 I did the Saturday San Juan ride with a Square Roots Catalyst flyer pinned to the back of my KOME jersey per Dave McGil.
