Andy Paulin

1988 Olympian and Santa Cruz resident Andy Paulin putting the hurt on 7-11's Jeff Bradey and the rest of the field on the Manayunk Wall at Phili. Oakley must have designed those tear-drop shades just for him (195cm tall, 91 kg). The classic urban legend is that Eddy B. was told that a 6'5" guy in California was time trialing at 30 mph at the Chico TT series. He flew out to see this mountain of a man with his own eyes and told him on the spot that he was on the Olympic TTT squad. The rest is cycling history which included Olympic team, Gastown Grand Prix wins, and numerous Pam Am medals. He is the only guy his size that is silky smooth.

For the record,....his Olympic TTT squad did a 100k in 2 hours 2 min and 37 seconds. That would be 62.14 miles in 122 mins average speed = Pain Cave!
