Another Caletti/Steelwül Beauty!
Yet another custom Caletti/Steelwül creation for club member Tyson Wiles. Paint scheme offered up by Apple: Imagetribe. Collaboration at it's finest! Thanks John, thanks Tyson. Can't wait to see this steed live! Sure the ride is sublime. Good on ya'!
Post that has very little to do with cycling... from Mama Wuler.
For those of you who do not know Jake is out of county on a fire. It has been almost a week and
it is bound to be for a bit longer so that leaves Apple and I at the helm of the ship we call Steel Wul. Since my lovely sea foam green Rock Lobster rarely rolls out of the garage I will not even try to post anything that
has anything remotely to do with the sport! Instead I will post some stuff about this and that until Jake returns.
For today I want to (hopefully) inspire you to bake bread.... yes I just typed those words. Here is a REALLY great recipe that even I cannot mess up that Aunt Gina gave me - yes the same source of the
famous chocolate cake recipe.
2 cups whole wheat flour
3 cups all purpose white flour
1 table spoon salt
2 teaspoons sugar
1 Tablespoon dry active yeast
Sift the first 4 ingredients together in a big bowl. Make a well in the center of the mix. Add the
yeast and pour 2 CUPS lukewarm water into the well, sprinkle a bit of flour on top.
WAIT ABOUT 10 MINUTES - go get kitted up
Return and begin mixing everything together until a sticky ball of dough forms- it doesn't take long. Kneed
the dough on a floured surface for 6-10 minutes ( building upper body strength for roadies! ) until
the dough is supple and NOT sticky. Put it back in the bowl, cover with cloth.
LET RISE 2 HOURS- go for a quick spin
Return, punch your dough down once, shape and place on a cookie sheet. Make a few surface slits with a knife along the top of the loaf and brush a little olive oil and sprinkle with salt. Bake for 30-35 minutes at 400` . Super good with butter and/or cheese, peanut butter-banana-honey......
Eat up!

Commonwealth Class- all the power, half the drama
Froome gets the Steel WÜl 'Silky' Award for this gentlemen's move on Stage 17. He looked like a spider monkey dancing up the road. It is so nice having a couple of Brits leading the TdF this year. Actually it has been a breath of fresh air to have some super stars from the Commonwealth Countries - Hesjedal, Evans, Wiggo, & Froome.
For the record: Wiggins was and still is the Team SKY Boss - so let him enjoy this one!
How many TdF stars have 4 Olympic track medals and numerous World Championship Medals?

Answer: Team Cannals - Mexican chewing gum
Answer: Team Cannals - Mexican chewing gum
For the record: the last time I saw Bobby was in South Lake Tahoe in 1997 and he was eating Burger King and had just broke up with his girlfriend and asked us for a ride home to Reno.
